Following him to a nearby mausoleum, the group encounters Mars just as he uses the pendants to break the seal on Dhaos's tomb, setting him free. A short anime series based on the game, called Tales of Phantasia: The Animation, was released in 2004. The character designs were created by manga artist Kōsuke Fujishima.
